On December 6th the staff of urinal flushers was
increased from 3 to 4.
The cost of water for the year was £68 11s. 6d.,
the amount paid for repairs, £16 14s. 3d , and the
cost of new Urinal, Owen Street, ,£92. The wages
of the flushers were £205 4s. Total, £382 9s. 9d.
PAVEMENTS.
Carriageways-Granite.—The carriageway paving
of the following streets were taken up, dressed, and
re-laid, and the deficiency made good with dressed
granite cubes on concrete :—
Angel Mews.
Goswell Road, between High Street and Torren
Street.
Pentonville Road, by St. John Street Road.
The Carriageways of St. John Street Road, from
north side Rydon Crescent to Rosebery Avenue
was paved with new Aberdeen granite cubes.
St. John Street Road by Pentonville Road, New
crossing, and intersection by Goswell Road, paved
with new granite cubes.
The carriageway of Farringdon Road, between
Clerkenwell Road and Vine Street Bridge, was
re-paved with new Guernsey granite cubes.
