The net charge is £955 9s. 4d. higher than last year, when it stood at £6,259 4s. 9d. The
increase is mainly accounted for by the new horses purchased, the repairs of the jetty, and the increase
in the cost of barging away the street sweepings.
The Committee have much pleasure in recording their satisfaction with the excellent manner in which
Mr. Longhurst, the Wharf Superintendent, performs his duties.
