property for the purposes of the contributions to
local rates, and suggesting concurrent action with
a view to the basis on which the grant in lieu of
rates is made being brought more nearly in conformity
with what would be the true rateable value
if the occupier were liable to be rated. The Vestry
concurred with this view, and addressed a communication
to the Government accordingly.
