REFUGE—ROSEBERY AVENUE, BY
FARRINGDON ROAD.
This Refuge having proved to be inconvenient
for the vehicular traflic crossing Farringdon Road,
it was removed a few teet northward and made
elliptical instead of circular.
RE-NAMING OF STREETS.
The land belonging to the London School Board
on the south side of the Hugh Myddelton Schools
having been given up, a thoroughfare was formed
between St. James's Walk and Woodbridge Street:
this thoroughfare, together with Short's Buildings,
was re-named Sans Walk, the numbering remainiug
as before.
OWEN'S ROW.
The posts fixed across the carriageway of the
above were removed, and the thoroughfare opened
for vehicular traffic
RODNEY STREET.
The wall at the north end of this street was taken
down and the footways and carriageway re-formed
and a thoroughfare made into Muriel Street.

The following revised scale of charges was
adopted during the year for hoardings erected upon
the public ways in this Parish:—
