PAVEMENTS.
Carriageway—Granite.—The Carriageway paving
of Compton Street, Tysoe Street (between Rosebery
Avenue and Wilmington Square), Skinner Street
(from Free Library), and intersection of Gloucester
Street, Cobourg Street, Meredith Street (between
Skinner Street and Corporation Row), Ray Street
and Sekforde Street, was taken up, dressed and
re-laid on Portland cement concrete, the deficiency
being made good with second-hand dressed granite
cubes, displaced by the asphalte.
York Street, from Tramway Stables to Pentonville
Road, was paved with second-hand Aberdeen granite
cubes, on Portland cement concrete, the portion
