Subsequently a scrutiny took place before Mr.
Justice Cave and Mr. Justice Vaughan Williams,
and after an enquiry extending over three days,
the petition was withdrawn.
The Parish also forms part of the Hornsey
Division of the County of Middlesex, represented
in the last and the present Parliaments, by H. C.
Stephens, Esq.
School Board for London.—Under the
Elementary Education Act, 1870, the Parish is
included in the Finsbury Division of the School
Board for London. The following are the members
elected in November, 1891, for the Division:—
Mr. G. B. Clough, Titchfield, Preston Park, Brighton.
„ Thomas Smith, 132, Queen's Road, Finsbury Park.
„ J. J. Stockall, 50, Ferme Park Road, N.
„ J. H. Sharp, 34, Highbury Hill, N.

Mr. W. Roston Bourke, 2, Spencer Road, Holloway.
London County Council.— Under the Local
Government Act, 1888, the County Council superseded
the Metropolitan Board of Works, and the
Electoral Areas of London are the same as for
Parliamentary purposes. At the triennial election
which took place on the 5th March, 1892, the
following was the result of the polling for the representatives
of the Division of Central Finsbury:—

Mr. Ernest Bowen Rowlands 1902 Elected
Mr, H. E. Davis 1265
Mr. J. R. Bourne 1139
Circumstances subsequently rendering Mr. Bowen
Rowlands' seat vacant, a bye-election took place on
the 2nd July, 1892, resulting as follows:—

The present representatives are therefore:—
