MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH
FOR 1889.
To the Vestry of St. James and St. John, Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I do myself the honour of laying before you ray Thirtyfourth
Annual Report on the Mortality &c., of the Parish during
the year 1889.
The number of deaths occuring from all causes in Clerkenwell
during the year 1889 was 1,033. The annual average for the last
ten years was 1,208, so that the deaths were 175 less than the
average. The deaths in 1888 having been 1,168, those in 1889 were
135 less than in the preceding year.

The accompanying table exhibits the number of deaths which have taken place in the Parish in each of the last ten years, the births in each year being placed opposite:—
