To the Vestry of the Parish of St. James and St.
John, Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I beg respectfully to report that during
the quarter ending March 31st, 1889, I have purchased
and submitted to the Public Analyst, the
following Articles, viz.:— 5 butter, 8 milk, 2
mustard, 1 coffee.
Frederick Bartlett, 232, Farringdon Street, for
selling milk adulterated with 27 per cent. added
water. Fined £10 and 2s. costs. C/2 90.
Edward Jones, 13, Compton Street, for selling
milk adulterated with 14 per cent. added water.
Fined 5s., 2s. costs. C/2 89.
Edward Sangwins, 31, Clerkenwell Green, for
selling milk adulterated with 6 per cent. added
water. Fined 5s., 2s. costs, C/2 99.
John Clayton, 35, Clerkenwell Green, for selling
coffee adulterated with 30 per cent. of chicory.
Fined 10s., and 2s. costs. C/2 100.
