To the Vestry of the Parish of St. James and St.
John, Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I beg respectfully to report that during
the quarter ending December 31st, 1888, I purchased
and submitted to the Analyst, the following
Articles :—4 milk, 2 margarine, 2 pepper, 2 mustard,
2 butter, 1 whisky, 1 coffee.
C 130. J. Griffiths, 25, Southampton Street,
selling milk adulterated with 21 per cent. added
water. Fined 15s., 2s. costs.
C 136. W. Jones, 11, Collier Street, selling
milk adulterated with 11 per cent. added water.
Fined 5s., 2s. costs.
C 137. A. Holmes, 9, Collier Street, selling
butter adulterated 85 per cent. Dismissed.
C 138. A. Holmes, 9, Collier Street, selling
milk adulterated with 13 per cent. added water.
Fined 5s., 2s. costs.
C 140. A. Howard, 9, Risinghill Street, selling
coffee adulterated 25 per cent. chicory. Fined 5s.,
2s. costs.
