To the Vestry of the Parish of Saint James and
Saint John, Clerkenwell.
Surveyor's Office,
Vestry Hall,
Clerkenwell,
19th September, 1889.
Gentlemen,
I beg to lay before yon my "Report upon the
Works, &c., executed by your Vestry during the
year ending Lady-day, 1889.
SEWERS AND GULLIES.
One hundred and twenty-six sewers were cleansed
and repaired, 5 new side entrance covers were fixed,
7 new gullies constructed (including 2 at Muswell
Hill) 465 cleansed and repaired, 3 trapped, 1 gully
drain reconstructed, 13 new gully grates were
fixed, and 3 patent gullies, 7 gully grates repaired,
and three flushing shafts constructed.
One hundred and ninety two loads of deposit
were removed from the sewers and gullies.
