INSPECTOR'S REPORT
For the Quarter ending 30th September, 1887.
Gentlemen,
I beg respectfully to report that during the
Quarter ending 30th September, 1887, the following
articles were purchased and submitted to the Public
Analyst by me, viz.: 9 milk, 2 butter, and 1 coffee.
Daniel Brown, 40, Fellows Street, Kingsland,
for selling milk adulterated with 8 percent. added
water; summons dismissed; the magistrate remarking
that it was a bad case, but the evidence
was weak, and he would dismiss the summons.

Edward Fox, 125, Farringdon Road, for selling
milk adulterated with 18 percent. of added water.
Fined 20s., and 23s. costs, the third sample
having been submitted to Somerset House for
analysis. C/2 56.
David Hughes, 122, St. John Street, for selling
milk adulterated with 26 percent. of added water.
Fined £10, and 2s. costs, or two months. C/2 54.
Hugh Davies, 1, Great Sutton Street, for selling
milk adulterated with 37 percent. of added water.
Fined £5, and 2s. costs, or one month. C/2 53.
George Henry Slawson, 43½, Clerkenwell Close,
for selling milk adulterated with 19 percent. of
water. Fined £5, and 2s. costs, or one month.

Frank Heskell, 10, Bowling Green Lane, for
selling milk adulterated with 18 percent. of added
water. Fined £5, and 2s. costs, or one month.
