MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH
FOR 1887.
To the Vestry of Saint James and Saint John, Clerkenwell,
Gentlemen,
I do myself the honour of laying before you my Thirtysecond
Annual Report, viz., that for the year 1887 .
The number of deaths occurring from all causes in Clerkenwell
during the year 1887 was 1,216. The annual average for the last
ten years was 1,264, so that the deaths were 48 above the average.
The deaths in 1886 having been 1,170; those in 1887 were 46 more
than in the preceding year.
The accompanying table shows the number of deaths which have
taken place in the Parish in each of the last ten years, the births in
each year being placed opposite:—
