purpose, and deposited in the Surveyor's office.
These drains consist of 4 12-inch, 34-9-inch, and
84 6-inch.
The amount of fees received for making the connections
of the new drains to the sewers was

Ninety-six private drains were unstopped by the
sewermen at the expense of the owners of the
premises, for which the sum of £9 12s. was received
by the Vestry.
MORTUARY.
The Coroner suggested that it would be more
convenient if the infectious cases brought to the
Mortuary were taken to the room at the south
end of the building, and the ordinary cases to the
room at the north end, adjoining the post-mortem
room, and a doorway made in the partition wall, so
as to avoid carrying post-mortem cases through the
yard from one end of the building to the other,
which suggestion was carried out.
PAYEMENTS.
Carriageways.—The carriageway of Spring Street,
St. Helena Place, Wilmington Place, Ann Street
(Margaret Street), William Street, St. John Square,
in rear of Bryant's Buildings, Albemarle Street,
and the channel on the south side of Sermon Lane,
were paved with second-hand dressed granite cubes.
