Proceeding upon the plan adopted last year the capital value of the stock as shown by the books is as follows :—

It would thus appear that the present value of the stock is
really higher than it appears in the accounts. This is mainly
accounted for by the very extensive repairs which have been
done to the vans and carts, these being estimated to be worth
£180 more than they were a year ago.
