Cavendish Square, where everything is luxury; no out of work,
no overcrowding, ample means, laying up at once, whero
slight cold, &c., might produce mortal disease; in fact, the comparison
is preposterous—the argument is political !
The number of deaths arising from the principal zymotic
diseases in the parish in 1885 was 229; being 7 less than in the preceding year.

The number and the causes of the zymotic or infectious and contagious diseases occurring in Clerkenwell during tho last ten years are exhibited in the following table:—
