For the Quarter ending 30th Dec., 1882.
To the Vestry of the Parish of Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I have received during the quarter
ending on the 31st December, 1882, from your
Inspectors, Messrs. Thain & Cheshire, 46 samples for
analysis, consisting of 15 of Milk, 10 of Mustard, 5
of Pepper, 1 of Gin, 3 of Whisky, 3 of Coffee, 3 of
Sweets, 2 of Oatmeal, 2 of Bread, and 2 of Vinegar,
and that 6 of the samples of Milk were adulterated
with water to the extent of 7, 8, 18, 19, 19 and 21
r
per cent. of water, and one sample of Mustard with 10
per cent. of starch.
