INSPECTORS' REPORTS,
For the Quarter ending June 30th, 1882.
To the Vestry of the Parish of St. James and St. John,
Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I beg most respectfully to report that
during the Quarter I purchased and submitted to the
Analyst the following articles, Milk 1, Tea 1, Sugar 1,
Coffee 1, Baking Powder 1, Marmalade 1, Pepper 1,
Mustard 1, Gin 5, Bread 1. In all 14. The 5
samples of Gin were taken as test samples.

Gentlemen,
I beg most respectfully to report that
during the Quarter ending 30th June, 1882, I purchased
the following articles, viz., 2 Mustards, 2
Peppers, 1 Bread, 4 Milk, and 4 Condensed Milk.
Sample (numbered C. 490) Mr. Evan Jenkin, 33
Lloyds Row, was summoned by me before Mr. Barstow,
at the Clerkenwell Police Court, and fined £2 and
costs for adulterated milk.
