INSPECTORS' REPORTS,
For the Quarter ending 25th. Mar., 1882.
To the Vestry of the Parish of St. James and St. John,
Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I beg most respectfully to report that during
the Quarter I purchased and submitted to Dr. Redwood
the Public Analyst, the following samples of food, &c.,
viz., Bread, Mustard, Pepper, Butter, and Milk.
Sample, numbered C 474. Butter, admitted at the
time of purchase to be Butterine.
Sample, numbered C 475. Butter, the Vendor was
summoned and fined £5 and costs.
Sample, numbered C 479. Milk, the Vendor was
summoned, but the Magistrate gave him the benefit of
a doubt.

the past Quarter I have purchased 18 Articles of Food,
&c., which I have taken and submitted to Dr. Redwood
the Public Analyst, consisting of Butter, Cocoa Powder,
Bread, Mustard, Aniseed Candy, Pepper, Milk, Ale,
Beer, and Vinegar.
