For the Quarter ending 25th Mar., 1882.
To the Vestry of the Parish of Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
During the Quarter ending on the 25th
March, 1882, I have received from your Inspectors,
Messrs. Thain and Cheshire, 28 samples for analysis,
viz., 6 of Milk, 4 of Butter, 2 of Cocoa Powder, 6 of
Bread, 3 of Mustard, 3 of Pepper, 1 of Aniseed Candy,
1 of Ale, 1 of Beer, and 1 of Vinegar. Two of the
samples of Butter were composed entirely of foreign
fat, and two of the samples of Milk were adulterated,
one with 16 and the other with 7 per cent. of water.
