MEMORANDUM.
The provisions of the Metropolitan Poor Act.
1867, having been put in force in Clerkenwell in
February, 1868, the Vestry thence became the
Overseers for the purpose of collecting the Poor Rates,
(heretofore collected by the Churchwardens and
Overseers, and the Guardians under the Local Act,) and
supplying the Guardians with the funds required,
hence the Poor Eate Account annexed, as audited by
James Hales Mitchiner, Esq., Poor Law Auditor.
