With regard to action under Section 17 of the Housing
Act, 1909, dealing with the making of Closing Orders, it was
considered inadvisable, save in very exceptional circumstances,
to close any insanitary dwelling-houses in the Borough owing
to the difficulty of the situation through lack of housing
accommodation.
Statistics for the Twelve Months ended 31st December, 1919.
