DISINFECTION.
(a) (i) During the year disinfection was carried out free of
charge at thirteen premises as under
Poliomyelitis (or suspected)
Tuberculosis 7
Suspected Food Poisoning 1
Enteritis 1
Miscellaneous 2
(ii) Disinfection was also carried out at twelve premises
where non-infectious illnesses had occurred on request, the
occupier in each case paying the cost.

(b) The total number of articles disinfected by steam at the Tolworth Hospital, or destroyed was

(b) School Canteens.
At the request of the Surrey County Council thirteen school
canteens were sprayed with insecticide to prevent flies and other
insect pests, the County Council paying the cost of the work.
