Of the 47 new cases tabulated above 16 were transferred from
other districts.
At the commencement of the year there were 259 cases of
tuberculosis on the register and at the end of the year this
figure had decreased to 251, the lowest figure for the last
ten years.
During the year 26 were notified as recovered from the
disease; 19 left the district and there were 10 deaths.
