FACTORIES ACTS, 1937 to 1959
The total number of factories on the register at the end of
the year was 277 (244 mechanical, 22 non-mechanical, and 11 works
of building construction).
Three hundred and eighty three visits were made to these premises and work was carried out to remedy contraventions found as under;-
