DISINFECTION
(a) During the year disinfection was carried out at
thirty-nine premises in which the following diseases occurred
Poliomyelitis (or suspected) 13
Tuberculosis 5
Scarlet fever 7
Meningococcal infection 2
Para-Typhoid B. 1
Encephalitis (suspected) 1
Miscellaneous 10
Disinfection was also carried out at twenty-nine premises
on request, the occupier in each case paying the cost.

(b) The total number of articles disinfected by steam at the Tolworth Hospital, or destroyed was:-
