Legal Pr.o.c.eedin&s : -
It was necessary in one case to apply to the Magistrates
to secure compliance with an abatement notice under Section 93,
Public Health Act, 1936, requiring repairs to a dwelling house.
The Magistrates made an Order requiring the owner to
abate the nuisance within twenty-one days, imposed a fine of
ten shillings and awarded the Town Council three guineas costs.
The owner eventually carried out the necessary repairs.
