At the end of the year 413 persons were shown to be suffering from tuberculosis and living within the district:-

Of the 92 new cases tabulated above 38 were transferred from
other districts.
At the commencement of the year there were 433 cases of
tuberculosis on the register and at the end of the year this figure
had decreased to 4-13
During the year 47 were notified as recovered from the disease,
48 left the district, there were 13 deaths and 4 were found to be
non-tubercular.
