At the end of the year 433 persons were shown to be suffering from tuberculosis and living within the district:-

Of the 84 new cases tabulated above 39 are transferred from other
districts.
At the commencement of the year there were 446 cases of
tuberculosis on the register and at the end of the year this figure
had decreased to 433.
During the year 37 were notified as recovered from the disease,
44 left the district, there were 13 deaths and 3 were found to be
non-tubercular.
