Diphtheria still continues to be absent from Surbiton and
there is a slight falling off of the number of diphtheria
immunisations. The fact that diphtheria is so rare now is a
reason why mothers do not take their children to the immunisation
clinics. This should be discouraged. In Surbiton a 75%
immunisation should be aimed at.
