TUBERCULOSIS.

At the end of the year four hundred and fifty-two persons were shown to be suffering from tuberculosis and living within the district:-

Of the 110 cases tabulated above 47 are cases transferred from
other districts.
At the commencement of the year there were four hundred and
thirty-four cases of tuberculosis on the register and at the end of
the year this figure had increased to four hundred and fifty-two.
During the year 26 were notified as recovered from the disease,
45 left the district, there were 18 deaths and 3 were non-tuberculous.
