All samples passed the prescribed tests except two samples of
which failed the Methylene Blue Test. This was taken up with the
dairymen and producers and subsequent samples proved satisfactory.
The Phosphatase Test Indicates the pasteurisation has
been properly carried out; the Methyler.??? Test is used to
determine cleanliness and keeping quality, and the Turbidity
Test is a check on sterilisation. The Coli form Test is no longer
in use.
There is now no raw milk sold in the Borough other than
UnPasteurised Tuberculin Tested.
