One of the major changes brought about is that registration
of dairy farms and farmers and supervision of milk production

and Fisheries instead of the local Council, except insofar as the

All samples passed the prescribed test3 except two samples
of pasteurised milk. In one case the sample failed the Methylene
Blue Test, which was probably due to the very hot weather, and in
other case, the test was invalidated because the air temperature
rose above 65°F,
The Phosphatase Test indicates that pasteurisation has been
properly carried; the Methylene Blue Test is used to determine
cleanliness and keeping quality, and the Turbidity Test is a new
test to check on sterilisation.
There is now no raw milk sold in the Borough other than
unpasteurised Tuberculin Tested,,
