Ingredients not all specified on the label
as required by tho Labelling cm" Food Order,
19-16. Enquiries revealed that the

Formal sample No. 860 taken.
860 (Formal)
Lemona5e Tablets,
These tablets wore not lemonade tablets. They
contained no free citric acid and did not
readily dissolve in water, the liquid finally
obtained by mixing one tablet with a tumblerful
of water was odourless and almost tasteless.
This matter was referred to the Ministry of F°° 1
as it seemed probable that they could take
proceedings against tho manufacturers for
offences of a graver nature than the infringe^611
Of the Food & Drugs Act. It was considered
inadvisable to prejudice action by the Ministry*
therefore no proceedings were instituted.
