Midwives.—The District Council does not
employ or subsidise any midwives.
The Surrey County Council is the supervising
authority under the Midwives Act.
There are four midwives practising in the
District.
6. -LABORATORY WORK.
Pathological and Bacteriological examinations
are made for the Council by the Clinical Research
Association.
During the year the following examinations were carried out:—

Diphtheria antitoxin is supplied free of charge
to medical practitioners requiring it for cases
within the district.
It is kept in stock at the Council Offices, and
is available at any time.
