There are seven dealers in the District who hold
licences for Pasteurised milk. Only one sample was
taken which was satisfactory.
Thirteen samples of Ordinary milk were taken
during the year under review, six of which showed
a bacterial count of over 400,000 per cubic centimetre.
The remainder varied from 17,000 to 191,000
per cubic centimetre. Nine had Bacillus Coli present
in 48 hours and 3 days, the others being negative.
The presence of Streptococci and Tuberculosis
were not detected in any of the 17 samples.
