Annual Report of Sanitary Inspector
To the Chairman and Members of the Urban District
Council of Surbiton
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present the Annual Report
on the work of your Sanitary Inspectors for the
year 1935.
This report is compiled in accordance with the
directions contained in a Memorandum from the
Ministry of Health and as required by Article
XIX (15) of the Sanitary Officers (Outside London)
Regulations, 1935.
COMPLAINTS.
During the year seven-hundred and forty-seven
complaints were received with respect to the

Defective condition of house drains 44
Insanitary or dilapidated condition of houses and

Verminous rooms 18
Nuisances from dampness in walls and floors 16
Defective water closets 58
Defective sink waste pipes, etc 11
Defective roofs 65
Defective eaves gutters and rainwater pipes 15
Defective stoves and ranges 78
Water supply to dwelling houses disconnected 9
Smoke nuisance 7
Caravans —
