SCHOOLS.
The public elementary schools have been
visited from time to time and the sanitary accommodation
and water supply was found to be satisfactory.
New schools have been built in the area
during the year and others are contemplated.
SMOKE ABATEMENT.
Informal action was taken during the year in
respect of a nuisance from smoke at three premises
in the area.
The nuisances were abated and no further
action was necessary.
SHOPS.
No formal action was taken during the year
under the provisions of the Shops Act, 1934,
relating to the ventilation and temperature of shops
and to sanitary conveniences.
CHEMICAL AND BACTERIOLOGICAL
EXAMINATION OF FOOD.
Arrangements are made for this work to be
carried out at the Laboratories of the Clinical
Research Association, York Buildings, Adelphi,
W.C.2.
