The verdicts in the three cases of inquests were;
Not sufficient evidence to show if born alive in one
case; natural causes in the other two. Of the other
26, the causes were: Bronchitis 2, Consumption 4,
Diarrhoea 11, Debility 7.
DEATHS NOT CERTIFIED.

There were 28 deaths not certified, and in which no inquests were held.

When an uncertified death is sought to be
registered, information is given by the Registrar to
the Coroner, who decides whether an Inquest is to be
held.

I again made application to the Secretary of Queen Charlotte's Lying-in Charity, and having received permission to count the number of cases, the following information was obtained as to the number of women who went from the Parish to be confined.
