Deaths in Public Institutions. — During 1926 128 Barnes
inhabitants died in public institutions; this represents 34.2 per
cent, of the 380 total deaths assigned to this District.
Of the 233 residents who died in the District, three only died
in an institution, viz., in the Isolation Hospital.
Of the 147 residents whose death occurred in other areas
outside the District, 125 died in institutions, 59 of these deaths
occurring in the Poor-law Institution. Richmond, and 66 in various
other public institutions outside the District.
