February, 1919, and it was felt that Her place would be Hard to fill.
Dr. Frances Huxley proved an able successor, but unfortunately she
was obliged to resign her position in June, 1919, and Dr. Logan, who
now holds the post, was appointed in July, 1919.
The numerous changes might have been expected to exercise an
adverse influence upon the success of the Clinic, but contrary to anticipation
it has continued to flourish and now apprehensions are entertained
that the present accommodation will soon prove to be inadequate to meet
the requirements of the increasing numbers coming for ante and post
natal advice.

Dr. Logan attends the Centre on Tuesday mornings and Thursday
afternoons. As many as 17 to 20 mothers were examined at each
of these sessions last year, and' if the numbers continue to increase as
they have been doing, it will be necessary to make further encroachment
on Dr. Logan's time.
THE COT CENTRE was established on September 1st, 1918,
to give institutional treatment to children suffering from serious dietetic
disturbance, and has justified its existence.
It was hoped that accommodation could be afforded for six
ailing babies, but it came to be realised that better results could more
speedily be obtained if the number was limited to four or five.
The children admitted have usually been so puny that they had
to be retained for quite considerable periods before they could be
discharged in a satisfactory condition.
