Mr. Partridge, Clerk, was demobilised and recommenced
his duties in March. In October, having been appointed
Assistant Sanitary Inspector at Swindon, he resigned his position
here.
Since that time the vacancy thereby caused has been temporarily
filled by a female clerk.
At the close of the year the Staffing Committee still had
before it the matter of the appointment of a permanent clerk.
On 29th December, 1919, Mr. Allen, Clerk, recommenced
his duties after demobilisation.
Owing to the many changes and to the temporary
character of the clerical staff during the war and up to the
present time, the General Register, Plan Book and other
records have not been kept up to date, and it is now impossible
to complete them.
I have much pleasure in testifying to the loyal support
given me by my Staff, and to acknowledge the kind co-operation
at all times by my colleagues of other departments.
I remain, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
HENRY JOHNSON,
F.S.I.A., M.R.S.I.
