INFECTIOUS DISEASE.
Under the direction of the Medical Officer, all cases of infectious
disease, including tuberculosis, were investigated, and the necessary steps
taken to prevent the spread of infection.
On convalescence, or removal of patients to hospital, disinfection of
premises, bedding, etc., was carried out, and any uncleanly conditions or
sanitary defects were subsequently remedied.
