Walthamstow Education Committee.
Mr. Chairman, Ladies and Gentlemen,
During the year 1920, 554 "new cases" attended the Clinic for
treatment.
Ninety-seven per cent. of this number suffered from defective sight
due to "error of refraction," 3 per cent. to disease, injury or congenital
defects of the eye.
As in previous Reports, the cases will be considered under three
groups.
Group A.— External disease of the eye, including squint.
Group B.— Defective vision due to "errors of refraction."
Group C.— Defective vision due to disease in infancy or congenital
malformations of the eye.
