Dairies, Cowsheds and Milkshops Orders.
Thirteen applications were received for the registration
of persons for the sale of milk and the registrations were
made. The whole of the cowsheds, dairies and milkshops
were frequently inspected, and works of cleansing were
carried out where necessary.
In reply to a communication from the Local Government
Board the Council were in a favourable position to reply that
they had no occasion to make an Order prohibiting the
supply of milk within the district from a dairy specified in
the Order.
Prior to acceding to the request of certain persons
desiring to be registered as purveyors of milk, dairymen, &c.
the respective premises proposed to be used for store purposes,
were respectively situate in Gould Road, Norcutt Road,
Staines Road, Fourth Cross Road and Fifth Cross Road, and
in some instances the occupiers executed certain sanitary
works of whitewashing and cleansing. The premises were
placed in such a satisfactory condition so as to relieve the
Council from taking measures after the registration had been
effected.
