Baths and Washhouses Act.
Mereway Bathing Place. The Bathing Place was
closed for the season on September 30th. The number
of bathers attending the Bathing Place during the season
is as follows:—
Total number attending during May 486
Highest attendance on any one day 183
Total number attending during June 4167
Highest attendance on any one day 658
Total number attending during July 8093
Highest attendance on any one day 600
Total number attending during August 1679
Highest attendance on any one day 130
Total number attending during September 723
Highest attendance on any one day 136
The Bathing Place has been considerably improved
and extended.
Mortuary.
There were ten bodies received into this building
during the year.
Petroleum Acts.
The persons holding licences under these statutes
again applied and had their licences renewed, prior to
which the premises were inspected. Application for
licences in respect of additional premises were received
and after certain structural works had been executed the
same were granted, but the quantity to be stored was
limited.
