MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS.
The Medical Officers of Health have made a careful medical
examination of all newly appointed school teachers and members of
the Fire Brigade during the year.
INHABITED HOUSE DUTY.
A large number of inspections have been made under the Customs
and Inland Revenue Act, 1890, on the application from owners for
certificates exempting them from Inhabited House Duty. The applications
have only been acceded to in those instances where suitable
separate sanitary accommodation had been provided for the several
families or persons inhabiting the different tenements.
