Water Supply.
The principal Water Supply of the district is that of the South
West Suburban Water Company, whose reservoirs are at Egham.
In order to ensure a constant and sufficient supply to the district,
this Company has a water tower on their premises at Southall with a
capacity of about 300,000 gallons.
The Grand Junction Water Company supply a considerable
number of houses at North Hyde and on the Adelaide Estate.
The Secretary to the South West Suburban Company has kindly
furnished me with the following report of their Analyst, Dr. J. C.
Thresh, Professor of Hygiene at the London Hospital Medical
School, and Medical Officer of Health for the County of Essex.

January 23rd, 1905.
Report made January 23rd, 1905.
Sample taken at Egham, January 14th, 1905.
The chemical results shew that the water contains no excess of
organic matter, and the bacteriological examination shews that the
filtration has been efficient.
The water is well adapted for the purposes of a public supply.
