The Heston and Isleworth Urban District Council now adopt
the suggestions of the Local Government Board with regard to the
payment of "Structural" and "Establishment" expenses.
With regard to "Patients'" Expenses, the Board suggested
that they should be borne, as provided by Section 19 of the Isolation
Hospitals Act, 1893, by the districts from which the patients
are respectively sent to the hospial. The Urban District Council
do not agree to this, but propose the variation set out in paragraphs
3, 4, and 5 of their letter. It is estimated that the approximate
increased cost to the Borough represented by the terms proposed
by the Urban District Council, as compared with the suggestions
of the Local Government Board, will be £180 per annum.
Having regard to the suggestions of the Local Government
Board, which, it should be remembered, were made at the request
of the Heston and Isleworth Council, and have been adopted by
the Town Council, and to all the circumstances, the Committee are
of opinion that the resolution passed by the Town Council on the
13th February, last (vide page 46 of the Minutes,) should be adhered
to, and they RECOMMEND the Council to resolve accordingly,
and that the Heston and Isleworth Council be so informed.
It was Resolved that the Resolution passed by this Council on
the 13th February last be adhered to, and that the Heston and
Isleworth Urban District Council be informed accordingly.
