Urban District Council of Mitcham.
HEALTH REPORT
FOR 1923.
Mrs. Hallowes and Gentlemen,—
I beg to present my twenty-sixth Annual Report of the health
conditions prevailing during the year 1923 in Mitcham.
I am grateful for the help I have received at all times from
members of the Council.
The Clerk of the Council and all the members of the Public
Health staff have been most helpful with their ready co-operation
in all my work, and I feel that the continued advancement in
improving the health of Mitcham is due to them.
The work of the Maternity and Child Welfare Department has
been such that the health and condition of all children have reached
a high standard, while the mortality rate shows a steady decline
except in the case of illegitimate children.
I am, Mrs. Hallowes and Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
C. M. FEGEN.
Medical Officer of Health.
24, London Road,
West Croydon.
