Puerperal Fever.
Two cases of Puerperal Fever were notified. The confinement in
one case was attended at first by relatives of the patient. Both
cases were removed to the Isolation Hospital, and were discharged
after recovery.
Poliomyelitis.
Four cases were notified, viz :—
E. G., female, aged 2 years, residing in the South Ward
Patient died.
L. T., male, aged 3 years, residing in South Ward.
A. H., female, aged 1¾ years, residing in East Ward.
R. W., male, aged 2 years, residing in North Ward.
Tuberculosis.
During the year 64 new cases of Tuberculosis were notified, of
which 43 were pulmonary and 21 were other forms of Tuberculosis.
The sanatorium and dispensary treatment of Tuberculosis is
carried out by the Surrey County Council.
During the year Dr. Cave examined 27 specimens of sputa sent
by medical men practising within this District.
